“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms 91:1 WEB)
Growing in the faith is not about getting strong enough to be independent and flying away from the eagle’s nest.
The victorious life is found by knowing that you’re in the secret place (in Christ) and consciously resting in the shadow of the Almighty.
This means having the revelation that you’re close to God and His proximity means you’re protected and not in danger of judgment.
You’re not aiming to learn enough to leave Jesus—you’re learning how He’s truly always with you no matter where you go and what you do.
Some people say that Christianity is for weak people who need a crutch. It’s true, we are weak, but through Jesus who loves us, we become more than conquerors.
“No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37 WEB)
Those who think they are strong remain weak and are still in need of a crutch—they seek support in other things of the world, but nothing can save or empower so perfectly like Jesus can!
